Friday Favorites- 5/24/19

You guys, I bought a new (used) car last night! After a very long time shopping around (5 dealerships over two weeks) I finally found something! I ended up getting a 2017 Camry which is basically NEW. I’m so excited. It was super late by the time we finished up so I didn’t get a good picture. I actually take it back today for them to detail it and get it sparkling. So that’s definitely my FAVORITE of the week. But I do have a few other random favorites from the past couple weeks.

I don’t know why I always think I’ll be able to eat six bananas before they go bad, but I do. And I end up eating 2 or 3 and then the rest turn brown. Sometimes I’ll freeze them and save them for smoothies, but this time I decided to make banana bread. Usually I’m all about making a recipe from scratch, but for some reason I’ve had bad luck with banana bread recipes in the past. So I made the EASIEST banana bread recipe ever and it was SO GOOD. I seriously could’ve eaten the whole loaf right when it came out of the oven.

  • 1 box of Duncan Hines golden butter cake mix (you could use any flavor)
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup white sugar (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract (optional)

You can definitely make this recipe with just the cake mix, bananas, and eggs, but I think the extra flavor of the vanilla and cinnamon make it extra tasty. You simply mix everything together except the cinnamon and sugar. Then pour 1/3 of the mixture into your cake pan followed by a sprinkle of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Do that 2 more times and you’re done! It bakes for about 40 minutes at 350 degrees. It’s so good and the cinnamon sugar on top makes a crunchy crust.

Ghost Legend Sonic Cherry Limeade- I decided to try a new pre-workout and this stuff it so good. It seriously tastes just like Sonic Cherry Limeade. And it definitely gets me hyped to workout.

Today is a half-day at work and then we have off on Monday for Memorial Day. I have a million errands to run after I leave here, but then the rest of the weekend should be pretty chill. So I’m really excited for a long weekend. Do y’all have any fun plans for the weekend?
