Mid-Year Update

When I started my 2019 bullet journal, I included a 20 Before 2020 spread that had 20 things I wanted to accomplish before the year was over. So I thought I’d check in and see how I’m doing now that we are halfway through 2019 (which is crazy!). Checking in on your goals halfway through the year is good because it reminds you what you’re trying to accomplish and you still have time. If you wait until the very end of the year and you realize you’ve only accomplished half of your goals, it’s going to be very discouraging and you probably won’t have time to complete them all.

Go to Asheville– We were supposed to go to Asheville last December for our honeymoon, but they had a huge snowstorm and we had to cancel. Since we already paid for one night of the hotel room, we’re hoping to go sometime this year. We haven’t made it there yet, but there’s still time.

See Local Natives– Finally after 5 years I saw the Local Natives again! I saw them this past Friday at the House of Blues in Dallas and they were SO GOOD.

Get a New Car– I got a new car at the end of May.

Visit a National Park– Hoping to check this one off if/when we go to Asheville.

Get iPad Pro– Yep! I got my iPad Pro in January and it’s been one of my favorite purchases!

Save $3,000– So the thing is, I did a really good job saving up money, but then I used it to buy my car. So I’m starting over, but there’s still plenty of time.

Go back to Austin– We went to Austin in April for my birthday. I could definitely see this being an annual trip for us. I just love it there.

Earn Back What I Spent on Blog– I’m very slowly getting there! I didn’t start this blog to make money, but it would be nice to at least earn back what I’ve spent on it.

Frame Wedding photos/ Print Album– I’ve printed a lot of pictures, and I’ve framed a couple for my house, my office, and my parents, but I think I still want to get a couple more.

Finish Decorating House– For the most part we’re settled into our house and I’m happy with how it’s decorated. I got a new dining table and I decorated the bedroom.

Organize Art Supplies

Read Ten Books– Okay, I haven’t read ANY books yet. I’ve started a couple, but I just haven’t been able to get into any of them. I need some book recommendations!

1,000 Followers on Instagram– While your number of followers does not matter, and isn’t the reason I’m doing this, I think it’s important to set goals for yourself. I find it motivates me to continue to try to improve and create good content. I’m ALMOST halfway there. If you don’t follow me on Instagram, check me out (maybe follow if you’re feeling nice).

Do a Pull-Up– Hear me out. Do y’all remember the President’s Physical Fitness Test in elementary school? If you don’t remember, they basically made all the kids complete a fitness regime that consisted of sit-ups, push-ups, sprints, and pull-ups. Well, I could NEVER do a pull-up. And this is the year I’m finally going to do it. I’ll keep y’all updated.

Move to a New House– We moved in April. Check out my post about how I organized our move.

Taylor Graduate Law School– He should be graduating in December!

Pay Off Credit Cards– I’m about halfway there on this one!

That’s pretty much it for me! I’m pleased with how much I’ve accomplished so far, but I definitely still have a ways to go to finish these before the end of the year. What goals did y’all set for yourself this year? How are you doing with them? Let me know in the comments!
