Hey guys! Happy Friday! I am starting my weekend early and we are on our way to Dallas to see the Local Natives tonight! I am so excited. Y’all have probably seen me mention it here before, but they are my favorite band. So we’re driving up there today, going to the show tonight, and then driving back home tomorrow. I don’t know if all this time in the car is a favorite, but the plans of stopping at Whataburger is going to make it worth it. We technically have a Whataburger here, and we love it, but it’s kind of out of the way for us. AND I’ve heard the Whataburgers in Texas are better.
Another favorite is the A/C at work is finally fixed! They actually finished up a few days early so we’ve been nice and cool in our offices most of the week. The weather outside has actually been really nice too. We had a “cold front” come through, which means our temperatures were in the 80s instead of the 90s.
I finally got out bedroom feeling super cozy. I still need to put together the other nightstand, but other than that I’ve finished decorating it. I’ve been printing out wedding pictures lately and trying to figure out which ones I want to decorate the house. I put a couple little ones on the dresser and I love looking at them. I also bought another Fire Stick so I can watch Netflix in bed.
I picked up a donut pan at TJ Maxx the other day , and it might be my new favorite baking tool. So far I’ve only made these powdered sugar donuts, but I love how they turned out and I’m excited to try some other fun recipes. You don’t have to feel bad about eating donuts all the time if they’re baked, right?
Okay, so I heard Ben and Jerry’s was coming out with a bag of just cookie dough chunks. Like the same delicious cookie dough in the ice cream, but without the ice cream. So I’ve been checking every freezer section of every store we’ve been going, and I finally found them at Target! OMG. They’re so good. I don’t know how I’ve kept myself from devouring the whole bag, but I love just eating a couple as a sweet treat after dinner.
I also picked up this weird little catnip bird for the cats from Target. This thing is like solid catnip! I’d never seen anything like it. Well, I think it’s safe to say it’s been my cats’ favorite of the week. They go crazy for it.
