Finally, my very first blog post! I have been thinking about starting a blog for almost a year now. I read anywhere from 10-20 blogs every week and always think to myself how fun it would be to have my own. I don’t know why it finally clicked to JUST DO IT, but it did and I couldn’t be happier.
So a little about me before we jump into the journaling: I’d like to say I’m a fairly recent college graduate, but it’s actually been TWO YEARS since I graduated from Louisiana State University with my Accounting degree. WOW! I think it feels more recent because I did one semester of graduate school before realizing I was so over going to school. I started my full-time position as a financial analyst in March of this year. I had already been interning there throughout my last years of school and I was able to move into a full-time position.
Working an 8-5 office job definitely leaves something to be desired in the creativity department. It’s probably the main reason I’m ready to dive head first into my new bullet journal. This past year and a half I had actually been planning my wedding! I married my best friend, Taylor, in late October and it was absolutely perfect. I loved every step of the engagement and planning process. Now that the wedding festivities are over and we settle into married life, I’m ready to put my energy into bullet journaling and this blog!
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m no great artist, my hand-lettering isn’t the best, and I don’t always have the best layouts, but that’s okay! We’re in this together. I think holding myself accountable by posting pictures of my journal pages with the people of the internet will push me to try new things, and maybe somehow inspire someone else out there!
