Happy Friday, guys! If you read last week you know Louisiana had a tropical storm headed our way with some pretty scary predictions (25+ inches of rain and potential river flooding) but luckily the forecasts were WAY off. We got about 6 inches of rain and the wind was minimal. We didn’t even lose power the whole weekend. So that is definitely a favorite this week.
I got my Amazon Prime Day purchases on Wednesday and my Nordstrom package on Thursday! So I’ve been getting been all kinds of fun mail this week, which is always a favorite.
My Amazon order was definitely interesting. I started the day browsing saying that I wasn’t going to get anything, but as the day went on I picked out this wonderful assortment of totally necessary things.
Microfiber Towels– You might wonder why someone needs 12 microfiber towels, and honestly, I don’t know. But they were on sale and I needed some for my car and you can really use microfiber towels for anything. This brand is really good quality and I’m actually really excited about this purchase.
Giant Drying Towel– My mom has one of these for her car and it’s great. Having a dark colored car is a pain because even if you wash your car, you can still be left with water spots. This will make it easy to actually dry my car after I wash it.
Car Wash– Needed some new car wash.
Waterless Car Wash– This is supposed to be good for touch-ups, smudges, and small spots when I don’t feel like washing my whole car.
Cat Raker– This was probably the most impulse purchase. The reviews definitely persuaded me. I haven’t used it yet, but I’m hoping I can get a lot of fur off the cats and hopefully cut down on fur in my house.
Ring Light– I am actually so excited about this. It wasn’t even on sale, but I’ve really been wanting one because all the rainy days we’ve been having make it hard to take pictures of my journal. I haven’t used it to take pictures yet, but I set it up and it’s really good quality, especcially for the price. It have 3 different settings (white, yellow, white-yellow) and you can adjust the brightness. This will deifinitely come in handy often!
Now, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with the Nordstrom sale this year. They had a lot of really good stuff, BUT the main thing I wanted on the sale was my bra. This Natori bra is the BEST bra (for small chests). I got my first one last year on sale, and I was going to get another one this year. They WERE on sale but only some sizes! Of course my size was still full price which kind of sucked. I still got it because I was earning double points for the day. The second thing, I ordered this Caslon Cowl Neck Sweater, and then they canceled it 2 days later because it had sold out. I did get another pair of these leggings, which are my favorite for work because they’re thick and they almost pass for real pants, but they’re comfortable.
And then because I felt like doing some more shopping, I got these pants from Loft to replace a different pair of olive green pants. You can’t tell in the picture, but they’re the prettiest shade of olive green. These are so nice. They feel very high quality. The material is thick (but not too thick), while being soft and stretchy. I really love the way they fit. Sometimes chino fits can be a bit too baggy for my taste, but these were perfect.
