Friday Favorites- 2/8/2019

Doing these Friday favorites posts have made me realize just how much stuff I buy. I’ve been a little out of control lately, guys. So this week I tried to not only purchase less, but also look for my favorites in other ways.

  1. Thanks to some unseasonably sunny and warm weather this week, I was able to make my DIY Wood Background. I’m happy with how it turned out and I’m almost tempted to do another one with different wood and a different stain.
  2. Dark Chocolate Raisinets- Every morning for breakfast/snack I eat a handful of cashews with either a few M&Ms or yogurt raisins, but I decided to switch things up this week and get some raisinets. Thus was my first time trying the dark chocolate variety and they were really good! And because they’re dark chocolate I can tell myself they’re ~healthy~
  3. After a couple crazy weeks at work, things have finally slowed down (for the meantime) and I’ve really been enjoying. I MIGHT have even left early one day just because (shh, don’t tell my boss).
  4. Now you might think this is something I purchased this week, but I promise it’s not! I actually ordered these a while back, but I just got around to doing an official review of the Zebra Mildliners
  5. I took a much needed break from caffeine for the better part of the week, and I have to say I feel better. Now, I didn’t stop drinking caffeine altogether because I definitely still had my cup of coffee in the morning. But I had created an unhealthy habit of having my coffee in the morning and an energy drink when I got home from work. It always felt great at the time, but when I started getting mid-afternoon headaches I knew it was time to chill on the energy drinks.
  6. Power Crunch Protein Bars– Let me start by saying, I’m not a big protein bar person. I really don’t like many of them because they usually have a strange aftertaste. But these are GOOD. Like actually good. I don’t eat one everyday because they’re pretty high calorie, but I treated myself a couple times this week after work before my workout. So far I’ve tried the Peanut Butter Fudge and Vanilla flavor, and surprisingly Vanilla is my favorite! I picked them up at GNC, but I’ve also seen them at Trader Joe’s and grocery stores
  7. Procreate App- Y’all would probably laugh if I showed you some of the things I’ve been creating on here, but I’ve just had SO MUCH FUN learning different techniques. Digital art is not something that was ever on my radar, but I’ve really been enjoying this new medium. I actually created my sister’s birthday card, which I might show on here after she’s seen it (if y’all were interested).
  8. Fyre Fraud- I’ve been hearing so much about the documentaries about the Fyre Festival on Netflix and Hulu, so we watched the one on Hulu. It wasn’t the best documentary ever but the story is so interesting (aka crazy).
