It’s been awhile since I shared some of my favorite things with y’all! I’ve got quite a list of things to share, so I’ll just get right into it!
New Hair Routine
I have been KIND OF following the curly girl method for several months now. I don’t do everything you’re supposed to do, but I did cut out sulfates and silicones from all my hair products. I have been trying SO MANY different products. I really wanted to find some drugstore options that works, but they’re just not as good (ugh!). I decided to give Living Proof a try and I am in love. My favorite products so far are the No Frizz Conditioner, No Frizz Styling Cream, and the dry shampoo. I’ve also been trying some of their other lines just to see what works best.
This is the only “no frizz” marketed products that I feel like ACTUALLY gets rid of my frizz. Of course, I still live in south Louisiana where the humidity is like 200%, but it’s still so much smoother than my hair normally is!
The other product I use to help my curls hold is the Ouidad Climate Control Gel. It’s lightweight, holds my curls well, and isn’t crunchy!
Lightroom Filters
Before filter After filter
I have my own style of editing bullet journal pictures, but when it comes to editing pictures of people I’m kind of a rookie. I got this preset pack from Etsy to make my life a little easier. I use them to edit Dolly’s birthday party pictures. I really like them and I like that you get 15 variations. This shop also has a ton of different styles, so I might try out some of the others in the future.
Acai Bowls
I’ve been making a lot of açaí bowls lately! They are so good and surprisingly so easy to make! I use frozen açaí puree(I get it from Target), frozen banana, frozen berries, and oat milk. It takes me a while to blend it and get the consistency right, but it’s so worth it. I usually top it with banana, granola, and chia seeds.
Enneagram Book
I took the enneagram test awhile back, but recently I’ve been getting into it more. I’ve really enjoyed learning about my type (I’m a 4!), so I bought this book to understand everything better. I bought the Kindle version so I could read it on my iPad. I’ve read the beginning and the chapter on my number and it’s really informative! I’m actually going to keep reading about the other types because it’s so interesting. What’s your enneagram number? Let me know in the comments!
If you haven’t taken a quiz to find out your number, I recommend these. I took both to compare my results, and then read up on the types a bit to confirm my number.
