I can’t believe it’s almost a new year, and new decade! I’m excited for it. I think each new year comes with the opportunity to be better than the one before. A new year also means a new bullet journal! It’s important to include certain spreads at the beginning of your new bullet journal to get you off on the right foot!
I’ll be using another Archer & Olive bullet journal this year. You can read my full review here to find out why I love it so much! If you use my code RAE10, you’ll save 10% off your order!
If this is your very first bullet journal, read this post that goes more in-depth into the basics of bullet journaling (plus what you’ll need to get started). Then come back to this post to get ideas for your 2020 bullet journal!
Also, if you need even more ideas, check out my 2019 set-up from my last bullet journal.
First Page of Bullet Journal
When I saw this quote on Pinterest, I knew I had to use it for the first page of my 2020 bullet journal. I’m really bad about putting off/not doing something because I think it won’t be perfect or as good as “everyone else”. But the truth is, no one is perfect and it’s all a process. Especially with bullet journaling (and blogging)! You just have to get started, and before you know it you’ll look back at a year ago and see the growth you’ve made.
Bullet Journal Future Log
This is the same style future log I used in my bullet journal set up last year. It’s the simplest and most efficient future log. It’s great for writing holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and yearly appointments.
Year at a Glance
As much as I hate writing all twelve months out, I love the way a year at a glance page looks at the beginning of a bullet journal. Also, don’t look too close at January and February (whoops!)
Word of the Year
My word of the year for 2020 is CREATE! I have a full blog post explaining what a word of the year is, how to pick one, and a list of word ideas!
Level 10 Life
I always include goals in my bullet journal set ups, but this year I wanted to get even more organized and focused with goal setting. I’ve decided to try out the Level 10 Life method. You can read more about it here, but basically you look at all the different aspects of your life and rank how you’re doing from 1-10. You then make specific goals for each category on how to achieve a 10 in each category.
Wishlist
I like having a master wish list in my bullet journal to keep track of what I’m wishing for, and what I get throughout the year! It’s especially fun to look at at the end of the year.
That’s my 2020 bullet journal set up! I try not to go overboard with too many spreads that I won’t use, but i like to make sure I have enough to feel organized for the new year. What spreads will you be including in your bullet journal set-ups?
